 FM:Int'l community should act responsibly toward Israeli war crimes 

Minister of Foreign Affairs Manouchehr Mottaki in a gathering of foreign ambassadors and representatives in Tehran said international community should act in a responsible way toward Israeli regime war crimes. Mottaki made the remarks in a gathering on the occasion of January 19 which marks 'Resistance Day'.  Mottaki said, "How can we forget the painful scenes of horrible massacre of innocent women, children and elderly people? These events cannot be removed from human memory."

Iranian Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani delivers a speech at the international seminar on "Gaza, Symbol of Resistance",  Iran's parliament speaker says the US and its European allies provided Israel with behind-the-scenes support during its 22-day war on Gaza.  "Israel carried out a very barbaric attack against the Gazans.  EC secretary discusses regional developments with Turkish envoy Secretary of Expediency Council ( EC) Mohsen Rezaei discussed regional developments with Turkish ambassador to Tehran here TuesdayAccording to the EC Office report, Rezaei told his Turkish visitor that Iran and Turkey can play an important role in regional developments and resistance against Israel. He appreciated Turkey’s stances concerning regional issues, especially Iran.  Turkish Ambassador to Tehran Salim Kara Othman Oglu called Iran and Turkey as a connecting ring between Asia and Europe.

'Saudi jets bombard N Yemen, kill dozen'

Saudi fighter jets keep bombing Houthi positions in northern Yemen along the border the country shares with the oil-rich kingdom, killing more than a dozen people.According to a statement released by the fighters on Monday, Saudi forces carried out 17 aerial attacks on Dammaj, destroying a mosque in the northern region.

Israel to station German nuclear submarine in PG

German arms exports to Israel reached some 900 million dollars between 1998 and 2001. Three 'Dolphin' nuclear submarines were also donated to Israel in 1999.  Ahead of an Israeli-German cabinet meeting in Berlin, median reports indicate that Israel intends to station one of its German-made Dolphin submarines in the waters of the Persian Gulf. "Israel's use of the dolphin submarine in exercises in the red sea aroused fears that Israel may seek to maintain a continued presence in the Persian Gulf as soon as it receives its submarines form Germany in 2011-2012," the tagesspiegel said on Sunday.

Israel’s 22-day war on Gaza involved multiple killing of innocent people and verges on becoming an “act of genocide”, a leading British Jewish leader said.Rabbi Ahron Cohen, the influential member of the anti-Zionist Neturei Karta movement, told IRNA that the Israeli assaults and the subsequent blockade on Gaza mounts to genocide by the Zionist regime.That’s the continuation of the sad facts of the international political scene in the 21 century in which Western countries keep on supporting the Zionist regime and the oppression against the Palestinian people."Cohen added that the acts by the Israelis in the occupied Palestinian territories are against humanitarianism.

  External elements creating unrest on Pak-Iran border

– A senior Pakistani political leader of major opposition party here on Tuesday said that some external elements are trying to destabilize region by creating unrest on Pakistan-Iran border.  Secretary General Pakistan Muslim League- Nawaz Senator (R) Iqbal Zafar Jhagra however hoped that such elements will not be able to succeed in accomplishing their evil designs against the two strong Muslim states of the region. “There are some elements that are against the peace and stability of the area”, he viewed.
